Nizhny Novgorod agrarians doubled exports in 2026.

      August 6, 2026 14:50 Economy Agricultural enterprises in the Nizhny Novgorod region have significantly increased their product exports abroad. This was reported by the Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Yegor Polyakov, on his MAX channel.

      As of the end of July 2026, the export volume of the agro-industrial complex in the region has doubled. The majority of products are supplied to Belarus, China, India, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan. In total, our agro-industrial complex exports to 32 countries.

      From January to July, there has been a significant growth in several areas. The export of oilseed products increased by 2.4 times, grain crops by 2.2 times, and dairy products by 2 times. Meat product supplies increased by 41.9%, and confectionery products by 43.4%. A particularly noticeable dynamic was recorded for tonic crops, with their export increasing by more than 25 times.

      "This indicates the growing competitiveness of domestic products and the strengthening of our positions in international markets," emphasized the official.

      He also noted that state support plays an important role in the development of external supplies. Currently, several Nizhny Novgorod enterprises have submitted applications to the Russian Export Center for compensation of part of their transportation costs. According to the Deputy Governor, this mechanism remains one of the most effective tools for stimulating the economy.

      It was previously reported that more than 31 tons of chanterelles from the Nizhny Novgorod region will be exported to Belarus.
