More than 1800 fare evaders were identified in public transport over seven months.

      More than 1800 fare evaders were caught by inspectors in public transport over the seven months of this year. According to the Transport Systems Development Center (TSDC), a total of 2076 protocols for administrative offenses were drawn up during this period. The overwhelming majority of violations (1808 cases) were related to fare evasion. Another 263 protocols were issued to passengers for the improper use of someone else's discounted transport cards. In addition, fines were issued five times to the drivers themselves for refusing to issue tickets. To date, more than 1.6 million rubles have already been collected for these violations. This amount includes both fines paid voluntarily by offenders and funds collected through enforcement. The TSDC notes that regular checks are aimed not only at combating fare evaders but also at ensuring the legality of transportation and creating fair conditions for all honest passengers.
