      The mobile video analytics complex has begun its duty in the Nizhny Novgorod region. It will assist relevant services in ensuring the safety of mass events and the operation of the hardware and software complex (HSC) "Safe City" in remote districts of the Nizhny Novgorod region — where there are no stationary cameras and necessary infrastructure.

      The mobile complex was supplied to the Nizhny Novgorod region by NtechLab — a technological partner of Rostec.

      "Ensuring safety is the main task facing video analytics systems. We are actively working on improving the HSC 'Safe City'. Just in 2025, we increased the number of surveillance cameras by 33 percent, and since the beginning of 2026 — by another 7%, reaching 26,800. A third of them use artificial intelligence for operational search activities. The use of the mobile complex is the next and very important step in the development of the system. At mass events, it can identify crowds and stampedes, helping security services find lost individuals, including children. The first application of the development took place at events in the Diveevo district dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of St. Seraphim of Sarov," said the Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Yegor Polyakov.

      The complex is deployed on the basis of a "Gazelle NN" vehicle. It includes 28 video cameras, 24 of which are connected via a high-speed secure radio channel and are intended for automatic monitoring of control boundaries and the external perimeter. Four all-weather cameras mounted on the roof allow monitoring of the operational situation. The complex can function autonomously for extended periods and is capable of assisting operational services in monitoring safety and identifying criminals.

      The mobile video analytics complex was presented in May 2026 at the "Digital Industry of Industrial Russia" conference in Nizhny Novgorod. The development by NtechLab was presented to the Chairman of the Government of Russia, Mikhail Mishustin, and the Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Gleb Nikitin. During the presentation, Gleb Nikitin noted the high economic efficiency of using the complex.

      Let us remind you that the development of the video surveillance system of the HSC "Safe City" meets the objectives of the national project "Data Economy and Digital Transformation of the State," implemented since 2025 by the order of the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin.
