16 Nizhny Novgorod residents won the "Big Change" competition.

Sixteen schoolchildren from Nizhny Novgorod in grades 5-7 became winners of the all-Russian competition "Big Change," which is held as part of the national project "Youth and Children." Among them are students from schools in the Bogorodsky, Volodarsky, Gorodetsky districts, Arzamas, Dzerzhinsk, Sarov, and Nizhny Novgorod. The closing ceremony of the competition, which is the flagship project of the Movement of the First, took place in Krasnoyarsk. More than 800 students from grades 5-7 from various regions of Russia participated in the final stage, including 31 schoolchildren from the Nizhny Novgorod region. President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin congratulated the finalists on completing the competition trials. He noted that over the years of the competition, more than seven million people have participated, many of whom have become students at leading universities in the country or have implemented their own projects. The final program included business games, master classes, team-building training, and partner workshops. Participants learned about the work of various industries, applied their knowledge in practice, and presented projects to experts. The winners of the competition were 300 schoolchildren from different regions of the country. In August, they will embark on a "Dream Journey" on a special train "Big Change," provided by Russian Railways. One group will travel from Moscow to Vladivostok, and the other from Vladivostok to Moscow. An educational program with experts has been prepared for the participants. The mentor teachers of the winners will receive 100,000 rubles each and will be able to participate in an educational program from the competition partners. Patriotic education of the younger generation is one of the key tasks of the national project "Youth and Children," which is being implemented by order of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin since 2025 and includes nine federal projects and programs.
