      In the Nizhny Novgorod region, the collection of applications for presidential awards for workers in the field of music education has begun, reports "opennov.ru". Institutions can submit nominations for talented teachers from children's art schools, colleges, and universities until August 20, 2026.

      The regional Ministry of Culture clarified that participant registration is conducted through the specialized digital platform of the federal agency. At the same time, the right to nominate candidates is exclusively reserved for educational organizations; individual applications from teachers are not accepted. The professional competence of the participants will be assessed by an expert council. The commission will include heads of educational institutions, experienced mentors, and delegates from public organizations. When selecting candidates, the jury will analyze the authors' pedagogical programs, the achievements of students, the participation of teachers in creative projects, as well as other indicators of professional activity. The annual prize fund is distributed as follows: 100 awards of 500,000 rubles are intended for workers in children's art schools, and 25 awards of 1 million rubles are allocated for teachers of colleges and universities.

      Access to the competition documentation and instructions for submitting applications is available on the websites of the Ministry of Culture of Russia and the Federal Portal of Artistic Education.

      The winners of the competitive selection will be announced in the first days of October 2026, and the lists of laureates will appear on specialized federal internet resources.
