The ponds in the Nizhny Novgorod region have been returned to the state.

      August 4, 2026 09:28 Society Land plots that were illegally in private ownership have been returned to the state following a prosecutor's inspection in Vyksa. This was reported by the press service of the agency. During the inspection, it was found that LLC "Rybkhoz "Polderevsky" owned ponds connected to the Velitma River, as well as land plots that, by law, should be owned by the Russian Federation. To eliminate the violations, the prosecutor's office appealed to the court. The First Arbitration Appellate Court sided with the supervisory agency. By its decision, the land plots under the ponds were seized from LLC "Rybkhoz "Polderevsky" and transferred to state ownership. In addition, the court ruled that the company has no ownership rights to the reserve and head ponds. It was previously reported that the Nizhny Novgorod city administration was required to increase the green space area in the Nizhny Novgorod district.
