      Two villages in the Varnavinsky district of the Nizhny Novgorod region will be renamed as hamlets. The law will come into effect on January 1, 2027. The corresponding projects were submitted to the Legislative Assembly by the Council of Deputies of the district.

      This concerns the village of Antonikha in the Bogorodsky rural council and the village of Prudovka in the Mikhalevinsky rural council. Both settlements will be renamed as hamlets due to the fact that in the Varnavinsky district, due to historical and other traditions, two villages with the same names were formed. Thus, the villages of Antonikha and Prudovka also exist in the Shudsky rural council.

      It is also noted that no one is registered in the village of Antonikha, and the residents of the village of Prudovka did not object to the renaming.
