This was reported by the NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" to the city administration, emphasizing that these are two separate incidents. It is worth noting that the retaining wall in the residential complex has cracked and subsided. According to local residents, work was being carried out on the arrangement of a parking lot in this area. During the excavation, the concrete support began to deteriorate, resulting in a collapse. The city hall clarified that the land plot on which the damaged object is located is not municipal property. The landowner was issued a permit to install a temporary fence. Separately, the JSC "DK Nizhny Novgorod District" commented on the situation with the soil collapse. The damaged area has already been cordoned off with warning tape to restrict residents' access and ensure safety. According to specialists' estimates, to prevent further soil displacement, a set of engineering and technical measures will need to be carried out, including the installation of a reinforced concrete retaining wall. The decision on the work to be carried out, their scope, and the source of funding must be made by the owners of the apartments in the multi-apartment building at a general meeting.
