This was reported by Governor Gleb Nikitin on his Max channel. According to him, aviation helps to detect 76% of all fires. Modern devices automatically detect smoke at distances of up to 20 kilometers. The total flight time during the fire hazard period reaches 580 hours per year. Special attention is paid to areas where fires occur most frequently: Borsky, Voskresensky, Mikhailovsky, and Vyksunsky forestry. Monitoring is conducted not only from the air. The region has a network of ground patrols that includes 255 routes with a total length of 17 thousand kilometers. The head of the region specifically addressed fans of "quiet hunting" with a request to remember safety rules. In particular, not to throw cigarette butts and not to light fires in unprepared places. "Even a discarded bottle in sunny weather can act as a lens and become the cause of a fire," added Gleb Nikitin. The governor reminded that effective protection of the forest fund is one of the goals of the national project "Environmental Well-Being" and the People's Program.
