According to her, a two-story house on Nekrasova Street, built in 1952, partially burned down in 2020. After the fire, the building was recognized as emergency. Earlier, the regional Investigative Committee initiated a criminal case, but later the supervisory authority canceled this decision. The investigators were unable to appeal it. After that, the criminal case was reopened to protect the rights of the residents. Alexander Bastrykin instructed the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod region, Ayrat Akhmetshin, to present a report on the progress of the investigation and its results, as well as to explain what measures are being taken to restore the rights of the residents of the emergency house.
