The Energy College has appeared in Nizhny Novgorod.

On July 29, 2026, at 11:57, the Nizhny Novgorod Technical School of Urban Economy and Entrepreneurship received a new official name - Nizhny Novgorod Energy College. Based on the educational institution, the first educational-production cluster in the region in the field of "Energy" was created as part of the federal project "Professionalism."

The joint victory of the regional government and the Ministry of Education, the staff of the technical school, and the industrial partner - the energy holding En+ allowed for the establishment of the first energy cluster in the Nizhny Novgorod region in 2026 and the development of a training system focused on real production tasks.

"For the company 'En+ Teplo Volga,' partnership with Nizhny Novgorod Energy College is a strategic investment in the future. We are interested in attracting prepared young specialists who can immediately engage in work at our enterprises. The guarantee of employment for graduates is our contribution to the development of the human resources potential of the region and the industry as a whole. Joint work with the regional Ministry of Education and the teaching staff of the college will create an effective system for training personnel that meets the most modern requirements of the energy sector," emphasized the General Director of "En+ Teplo Volga," Mikhail Efimov.

The federal project "Professionalism" is a complete reboot of the system of secondary vocational education: from material and technical support to educational programs and methods of graduate employment, believes the Minister of Education of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Mikhail Puchkov.

"This is one of the brightest and most successful projects of our decade in the field of education because it covers all of Russia. In our region, by 2027, we will already have 25 educational-production clusters, and more than 40 colleges and technical schools are networked - they send their students to courses in these clusters. Thanks to this project, literally in just a few years, we have managed to raise the prestige of the educational institutions themselves and increase students' interest in applied working professions. And this brings a huge influx of qualified workers into our economy," stated the Minister of Education of the region, Mikhail Puchkov.

Students of Nizhny Novgorod Energy College will be trained on modern equipment with the participation of highly qualified specialists from "En+ Teplo Volga." En+'s investments of over 40 million rubles will be directed towards the creation of workshops, laboratories, and the updating of the material and technical base, which will help strengthen the human resources potential of the industry and increase the prestige of working specialties.

"By maintaining high quality standards and the best traditions in the field of vocational education, we are moving to a fundamentally new level. This is a logical continuation of the large-scale transformation of the educational institution. The new name - Nizhny Novgorod Energy College - fully reflects the profile of training modern specialists in demand in the labor market. The status of the college and participation in the federal project 'Professionalism' together with the energy holding En+ opens up wide prospects for the implementation of advanced technologies, expanding the material and technical base, and training qualified specialists for the key sector of the economy," noted the Director of the Energy College, Tatyana Lipina.

Until August 15, the college is conducting an admission campaign. Specialists are recording high demand from applicants for vocational training in the field of energy. One of the advantages when choosing energy-related specialties mentioned by the admissions committee is the guarantee of employment for graduates at "En+ Teplo Volga" enterprises, as well as the reliability and stability of the industry. In addition, En+'s corporate social policy is aimed at comprehensive support for employees. The company invests in their future by paying for higher education; helps families by reimbursing up to 90% of expenses for children's summer recreation; as well as ensuring continuous development and training at the Corporate University and supporting participation in projects to develop management competencies.

Note: En+ and Rusal are among the largest investors in the "Professionalism" project. The companies already have successful experience in organizing practice-oriented training: they participate in 14 clusters across the country, where training is conducted in specialties in energy, metallurgy, coal, digital, and other industries based on 32 colleges and technical schools.
