Roles for participants have appeared in MegaFamily.

      On July 24, 2026, at 11:02, Society MegaFon updated the MegaFamily service by adding categories for family group participants. Now, the organizer can assign each member a role - "Child," "Adult," or "Device." Depending on the role, security features, spending control, and communication management are automatically activated. Previously, all family group members had the same set of capabilities. Now, the service takes into account who is connected to the group and automatically offers suitable features. This allows for the adaptation of settings for different communication usage scenarios without manually managing each number.

      For the "Child" role, parental control tools have become available. They allow for restricting access to undesirable content, blocking paid subscriptions and additional charges, as well as seeing the children's location in real-time. At the same time, the child will remain connected even with a zero or negative balance - minutes, gigabytes, and SMS are consumed from the organizer's family group tariff. Additional gigabytes are also credited for each participant, which all family members can use.

      The "Adult" role allows for the use of shared communication packages and independent management of their services. If necessary, the subscriber can connect the "Eva+" protection. The service analyzes incoming calls, warns of possible phone fraud, and automatically disconnects the call if suspicious conversation is detected. Additionally, "Eva+" can check audio and video messages for signs of forgery, including deepfakes.

      A separate role has also been created for devices - modems, routers, tablets, cars, and other connected technology. They automatically receive protection against accidental subscriptions and additional charges.

      "MegaFamily is one of our most in-demand services, which now helps not only to use shared communication but also to manage it with just a couple of clicks. Since the beginning of the year, the number of our MegaFamilies has increased by 127%. As the service develops, we see that different participants in the family group have different needs. The new role system allows for the automatic selection of the necessary set of features for each person - from parental control to fraud protection. Thanks to this, using the service has become easier: most settings are applied automatically," noted Dmitry Rudskikh, Commercial Director of MegaFon.
