Gleb Nikitin discussed preparations for the celebration of the 650th anniversary of the village of Bolshoye Murashkino.

      On July 22, 2026, at 14:02, Culture and Leisure. The Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Gleb Nikitin, visited the Bolshie Murashkino municipal district on a working trip on July 21. The main theme of the visit was the preparation of the working settlement of Bolshie Murashkino for its 650th anniversary, which will be celebrated in 2027. By the governor's order, an organizing committee has already been established to prepare for this date.

      "Our work in the district today began with an inspection of several important and iconic sites for Bolshie Murashkino. Among them are cultural heritage monuments, social infrastructure facilities, and public spaces. All of this affects the convenience of life for people and the interest of guests coming to these picturesque places. At the same time, I believe it is advisable to emphasize historical memory in preparation for the settlement's celebration, creating an unbreakable connection of times, where respect for the past becomes the main condition for a successful future," emphasized Gleb Nikitin.

      The head of the region also noted that the Bolshie Murashkino district is among the leaders among all municipal districts in the region: it ranks 6th in the overall rating and 7th in the rating for the standard of living of the population (according to data for the 1st quarter of 2026).

      As reported by the head of the local self-government of the Bolshie Murashkino district, Nikolai Belyakov, the municipality's administration has already begun preparations for the celebration of the 650th anniversary of the establishment of the settlement. For the anniversary date, a comprehensive set of works is planned here, including the repair of local roads, the arrangement of sidewalks, and the improvement of the central square, where a pedestrian fountain and a pump track will appear.

      "Bolshie Murashkino is an ancient village with a rich history. And today the task is to ensure that the past becomes the foundation for a new economic and cultural revival of the district. The involvement of the regional head allows us to be confident that all the work planned for the celebration of the 650th anniversary of Bolshie Murashkino will be carried out efficiently and on time. Relevant instructions have been given to the profile ministers. Therefore, we believe that the district will receive all the necessary assistance and support on various issues," said Vladimir Pakov, chairman of the Legislative Assembly Committee of the Nizhny Novgorod Region on state power, local self-government, and regulations, a member of the United Russia party faction.
