      The Nizhny Novgorod Region ranks fourth among the subjects of the Volga Federal District in terms of the volume of housing under construction (as of July 17, 2026). The region is surpassed only by the republics of Bashkortostan, Tatarstan, and the Perm Krai. The relevant information is posted on the portal "Unified Information System for Housing Construction." "Today, there are one million six hundred fifty thousand square meters of apartment housing under construction in the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
