      More than 37 thousand residents and guests of the region attended the folk arts and crafts festival "Masters of the Golden Ring" in Gorodets. The event took place over the weekend with the support of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality," the Ministry of Tourism and Crafts of the Nizhny Novgorod Region reported. The festival became the central event of the City Day and the 90th anniversary of the "Gorodets Painting" factory. Masters from the cities of the "Golden Ring," Nizhny Novgorod Region, and other regions participated in it. The opening ceremony was attended by the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, member of the "United Russia" party faction Evgeny Lyulin, State Duma Deputy Artem Kavinov, Minister of Tourism and Crafts of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Sergey Yakovlev, regional parliament deputies Vladimir Bespalov and Alexander Timofeev, as well as the head of the local government of the Gorodets district Alexander Mudrov. They awarded representatives of the industry and residents of the district. The festival program included more than 50 events: performances by creative groups, a fair of folk arts and crafts, gastronomic venues, and master classes. According to the organizers, 20 enterprises of folk arts and crafts participated in the event. The ministry reminded that in 2026, the route of the "Golden Ring" included Arzamas, Bogorodsk, Vyksa, Bolshoye Boldino, Gorodets, Diveyevo, Purekh, Nizhny Novgorod, Pavlovo, and Chkalovsk. Next year, the route will celebrate its 60th anniversary.
