The Sarov Water Canal has joined the federal project "Labor Productivity."

      On July 16, 2026, at 17:48, the Municipal Unitary Enterprise "Gorvodokanal" of the city of Sarov became the 326th participant in the federal project "Labor Productivity" of the national project "Effective and Competitive Economy" in the Nizhny Novgorod region. Experts from the regional competence center (RCC) will implement lean production tools at the enterprise. The enterprise is engaged in the collection, purification, and distribution of water, as well as the removal and treatment of wastewater.

      "The federal project 'Labor Productivity' helps enterprises increase efficiency and find internal reserves for growth. Today, nine companies in the utility sector in the Nizhny Novgorod region are already implementing lean production tools. Some of them have completed the full cycle of participation in the project. For example, at LLC 'Arzamas Vodokanal,' output on the pilot line increased by 76 percent," noted Maxim Cherkasov, the Minister of Industry, Trade, and Entrepreneurship of the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      RCC experts will work on-site for six months. Specialists from the competence center, together with the enterprise team, will select a pilot line, analyze processes, and eliminate bottlenecks. The company's employees will also be trained in the basics of lean production.

      Participants in the federal project "Labor Productivity" from the housing and utilities sector in the Nizhny Novgorod region also include JSC "Energy Network Company," MUP "Teplovodokanal" of Zavolzhye, JSC "Dzerzhinsky Vodokanal," LLC "Arzamas Vodokanal," LLC "Specinvestproject," JSC "Nizhny Novgorod Vodokanal," JSC "Teploenergo," and LLC "Volgoelektrosset." Thanks to government support, output at these enterprises is increasing on average by 40%.

      To become a participant in the federal project "Labor Productivity," one must submit an application on the IT platform: производительность.рф. From 2019 to 2024, such support measures were implemented within the framework of the national project "Labor Productivity," and starting in 2025, within the framework of the federal project "Labor Productivity" of the national project "Effective and Competitive Economy."
