      On July 16, 2026, at 17:30, Society The problem with the road in the Kstovo district has caught the attention of the head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin. As reported by the information center of the agency, residents of the village of Novaya Puner complained on social media about the state of the road infrastructure. In July of this year, the road leading to the settlement was closed. An alternative route was proposed, but it requires significantly more travel time and is also in poor condition: there is no asphalt on the road, the dirt surface is regularly washed away, and there are potholes and ruts. Because of this, passage is difficult, including for emergency service vehicles. Appeals to various authorities have yielded no results, and no measures are being taken to address the problem. A criminal case has been initiated in the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod region regarding this matter. Alexander Bastrykin instructed the head of the regional department, Ayrat Akhmetshin, to present a report on the progress and results of the investigation, as well as on measures to ensure residents' rights to quality road infrastructure. It was previously reported that residents of the settlement of Novy Mir in the Vadsky district appealed to the head of the Investigative Committee due to the partial collapse of a bridge on the local road.
