The driver of the Nizhny Novgorod bus No. 87 was fired after a conflict with a passenger.
On July 14, 2026, at 14:06 Society The driver of bus route No. 87 lost his job after a conflict with a passenger in Nizhny Novgorod. This was reported by the Center for Transport Systems Development. The incident occurred on July 13 during the route. According to the "By the Way" program (16+), the conflict arose due to payment issues: the terminal on the bus did not issue receipts, and money was deducted from the passenger several times. The woman attempted to pay for the trip with a bank card several times, after which she approached the driver asking to resolve the situation and return 80 rubles for the repeated deductions. According to the Nizhny Novgorod resident, instead of helping, the driver began to behave aggressively. She claims that the man threw a roll of cash register tape at her and insulted her. Later, she filed a complaint with the police. The driver, however, denied the accusations and stated that he did not insult anyone and did not throw anything at the passenger. The carrier LLC "Trans NN" conducted an internal investigation. Specialists established that the employee committed a gross violation of official duties. Following the investigation, the company decided to dismiss the driver. The measure was applied in accordance with the Labor Code of the Russian Federation. It was previously reported that in Nizhny Novgorod, the driver and conductor of bus No. 216 were held accountable for dropping off an 11-year-old passenger due to the inability to pay for the fare through a malfunctioning terminal.
