Nizhny Novgorod residents were warned about the risks of refusing access to the meters.

      Residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region were reminded that representatives of the guaranteeing supplier must ensure access to electricity meters for scheduled inspections. Otherwise, consumers may end up paying more for electricity. This warning was issued by "TNS Energy NN." According to the law, checking the condition of meters and taking control readings is a mandatory procedure. During this process, calculations and charges for consumed resources are verified. If the owner refuses to allow the inspector access to the meters, it may result in the electricity charge being calculated based on consumption standards with an increased coefficient applied.

      It is noted that employees of the resource supplying organization have the right to inspect the meters both in the presence of the consumer and without them if the meter is located in the stairwell or outside the apartment. If a discrepancy is found between the figures submitted by the client and the actual readings of the electricity meter, the energy company will recalculate the charges.

      "TNS Energy NN" reminded residents about what they need to know regarding meter inspections. In apartment buildings in Nizhny Novgorod and the region, these inspections are conducted by specialists from the contracting organization LLC "Orange Technologies." Residents are notified in advance about the inspections: information is posted on the information boards of the building and in the building's chat groups. Additionally, company employees are required to present identification or a power of attorney on behalf of "TNS Energy NN." The inspection services are free of charge.
