Hockey Club "Torpedo" announced the technical termination of the contract with Konyushkov.

      Defender Bogdan Konyushkov will sign a two-way contract with the Montreal Canadiens. However, he will continue to play for Nizhny Novgorod Torpedo on loan for the next season, the club's press service reported.

      Recall that the native of Penza was selected by Montreal in the 2023 NHL Draft with the overall 110th pick.

      To formalize the agreement with the NHL club, a technical termination of the existing contract with Konyushkov will be required. This procedure is of a legal nature.

      At the same time, the rights to the defender will remain with Torpedo, and the player will fulfill all his obligations to the club.

      According to Torpedo's general director Evgeny Zabuga, representatives of the hockey player approached the club with a request to allow the technical signing of the contract with Montreal.

      "We had no arguments against it, as he will in any case fulfill his contract with Torpedo until 31.05.2027 and then has the right to independently decide on activating the contract with the NHL club or extending relations with us," Zabuga noted.
