A name has been chosen for the Nizhny Novgorod baby aardvark from "Limpopo".

      July 10, 2026 11:14 Society A baby aardvark born at the Nizhny Novgorod zoo "Limpopo" has been named. By a majority vote, visitors and subscribers chose the name Tabo for the little one. Recall that the aardvark was born in early May. Only recently have specialists been able to determine the sex of the baby - it turned out to be a boy. After that, a voting was launched on the zoo's social networks, offering several African names, as the homeland of these animals is Africa.

      Five options were presented for selection: Tabo, which means "happiness," Esh - "life," Gugu - "treasure," Biko - "son of God," and Sifo - "gift." According to the voting results, the name Tabo won. Recall that last year a female aardvark named Hiba was born at "Limpopo." She became the second aardvark born in captivity in Russia.
