A new banknote with a denomination of 100 rubles has been put into circulation in Russia.
On July 10, 2026, at 10:46 AM, the economy in Russia introduced a new banknote with a denomination of 100 rubles. This was reported by the press service of the Bank of Russia. The banknote is dedicated to the Central Federal District. The security features and the design of the front side correspond to the design of the 2022 banknote of the same denomination. The main image is a fragment of the Spasskaya Tower of the Moscow Kremlin with the clock. The coat of arms of the Russian Federation is located in the upper left corner.
On the reverse side, there is a stylized image of the map of the Central Federal District. As noted by the bank, this design has already been used on previously modernized banknotes of 5000 rubles issued in 2023 and 1000 rubles issued in 2025. Also depicted on the reverse is the Rzhev Memorial to the Soviet Soldier. In the upper right corner, the inscription "2026" indicates the year of issue.
The 2026 banknote is a legal means of cash payment on the territory of Russia and must be accepted without restrictions. Additionally, at the end of December 2025, the Bank of Russia introduced a new banknote with a denomination of 1000 rubles, dedicated to the Volga Federal District.
