Nizhny Novgorod authorities will terminate the investment agreement with the berry producer.

      On July 9, 2026, 09:52 Economy The government of the Nizhny Novgorod region intends to terminate the investment agreement with the berry producer LLC "Rassvet". The corresponding bill has been submitted to the Legislative Assembly. The document provides for the recognition of the regional law that previously approved this agreement as having lost its force. This concerns the project "Berry Garden Project in the Nizhny Novgorod Region." In 2019, it received the status of a priority investment project with state support in the form of a property tax exemption for organizations amounting to nearly 7 million rubles. The basis for termination was the company's failure to fulfill its obligations under the agreement. In particular, LLC "Rassvet" did not submit a report on the progress of the project. The explanatory note also states that the company did not take advantage of the state support measure provided to it - the property tax exemption for organizations. Additionally, in August 2025, JSC "Sergach Sugar Plant" filed a petition to declare LLC "Rassvet" bankrupt. In December 2025, the court initiated supervision proceedings against the company.
