Approval granted for the construction of a liquid waste reception point in Kanavino.

      On July 9, 2026, at 15:28, the Ministry of Construction of the Nizhny Novgorod Region issued a permit to Aquatech Ecology JSC for the construction of a liquid household waste reception point in the Kanavinsky District. Information about this is posted in the documents on the official website of the department. The facility is planned to be built at 6 V Metallists Street. Previously, the company had already received approval for the creation of a similar point in the Sormovsky District - in the area of KIM and Yasnaya Streets. It should be noted that earlier the city administration announced its intention to expand the network of facilities for receiving liquid household waste. It was reported that agreements had been reached on the implementation of 12 investment projects in this area. Currently, there is only one officially operating disposal station in Nizhny Novgorod - KNS No. 12A at 16B Krasny Partizan Street, which accepts waste from cesspools and sedimentation tanks on a gratuitous basis. All other waste disposal points are considered illegal. Last year, unauthorized discharges of sewage by so-called "black" cesspool cleaners were cited as one of the reasons for the unpleasant odor that periodically spread across the city.
