A "Family" mural has appeared on the building of the perinatal center in Dzerzhinsk.

      On July 9, 2026, at 09:31, Society A mural dedicated to the theme of family and parenting has appeared on the building of the Dzerzhinsk Perinatal Center as part of the artistic project "Happiness is...". The new art object was ceremoniously opened on July 8 - on Family, Love, and Fidelity Day. It depicts a couple expecting a baby and a doctor who helps patients on their journey to happy parenthood. The "Happiness is..." project originated in Yekaterinburg and has united many street artists in different cities across the country. This year, on the day of the holiday, thematic murals appeared on the facades of several perinatal centers - not only in Dzerzhinsk but also in Ufa and Omsk. The works were created with the support of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. The author of the mural in Dzerzhinsk is Nizhny Novgorod artist Dmitry Drenin. As the chief physician of the Dzerzhinsk Perinatal Center, Nadezhda Ryzhova, explained, the medical institution was chosen for the placement of the art object for a reason. Over the 11 years of its operation, more than 44,000 babies have been born here. "The Dzerzhinsk Perinatal Center has achieved very good success in caring for children with extremely low birth weight. Today, this is no longer a death sentence, and almost all such newborns are given a chance for a full life. In addition, our medical staff is doing serious work to help women who find themselves in a situation of reproductive choice - over the past years, more than 500 pregnancies have been saved," the chief physician reported. The opening ceremony of the mural was attended by employees and patients of the Dzerzhinsk Perinatal Center, families with children, representatives of the regional executive bodies, and the administration of the city of Dzerzhinsk. "The opening of the art object dedicated to Family, Love, and Fidelity Day on the territory of the perinatal center is indeed a symbolic event. The fact that it has interregional significance makes it doubly important. I believe that such initiatives have colossal educational value. It is fundamentally important for children from an early age to absorb the values of a strong family, respect for parents, and care for loved ones not only from textbooks and lessons in the "Conversations about Important Things" cycle but also through their surrounding environment. It is precisely such art objects that help shape the correct life orientations in children and their understanding that family is the main value for every person," noted the Minister of Education of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Mikhail Puchkov. The holiday guests were provided with thematic platforms. Everyone could write warm wishes to medical workers on postcards and create paper storks - symbols of family happiness, which will become talismans for future mothers. Children also created their own drawings with chalk on the asphalt, revealing the theme of happiness. "The murals opened today in three cities are created in honor of the most important Russian values - faithful love, strong family, and the birth of children. The Dzerzhinsk mural is aptly named: "Happiness is a new life." And it is no coincidence that it decorates the walls of the perinatal center - one of the best perinatal centers in Russia, where wonderful professionals help bring thousands of babies into the world, making their parents happy.
