      The mini-football club "Torpedo" has appointed a new head coach for the men's team. He is Evgeny Ivanyak. He will lead the team in the 2026/27 season and will oversee the preparation for the new competitive cycle.

      It was previously reported that Gennady Garaguly left "Torpedo" due to the expiration of his employment contract.

      Evgeny Ivanyak ended his playing career after the 2023/2024 season. During his time with the Nizhny Novgorod team, he played 117 official matches.

      At the beginning of the next season, he joined the coaching staff of "Torpedo-2," where he worked as an assistant coach and was responsible for goalkeeper training. Later, he was entrusted with the "Torpedo U-18" team. In his first season with the juniors, Ivanyak led the team to gold medals in the U-18 Junior League.

      Last season, he headed the reserve team of "Torpedo" and together with them won the bronze in the Higher League Championship.

      Recall that according to the results of the past season, mini-football "Torpedo" took seventh place in the Super League. In the quarter-finals of the playoffs, the team lost to the future champion of the tournament, "Uhta."
