125 trips to the municipalities of the Nizhny Novgorod region were made by the "Health Trains" from January to June.

On July 7, 2026, at 18:28, Society In the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Clinical Hospital named after N.A. Semashko, the results of the work of the "Health Trains" in the first half of 2026 were summarized. Over the past months, medical professionals made 125 trips to various municipalities in the region. Approximately 22,000 people received assistance from specialists: more than 37,000 medical consultations were conducted for Nizhny Novgorod residents, along with about 73,000 laboratory and instrumental studies.

As emphasized by the medical institution, the priority for the mobile diagnostic complexes is small settlements, where residents may find it difficult to reach the district center. The main condition is the ability to connect the "Health Trains" to electricity and to accommodate medical staff in suitable premises.

"As is known, elderly people and individuals with limited mobility most often come to see our doctors. By traveling to remote villages and settlements, we bring specialized assistance closer to people, increasing its accessibility," said representatives from the N.A. Semashko Regional Clinical Hospital, where teams of mobile diagnostic complexes are formed.

The work of the "Health Trains" is aimed at the early diagnosis of dangerous diseases and the prevention of severe complications in patients. This aligns with the goals and objectives of the national project "Sustained and Active Life," initiated by the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin.

It is worth noting that the mobile modules of the "Health Trains" are equipped with all necessary diagnostic equipment: they perform 9 types of ultrasound, osteodensitometry, as well as fluorography, mammography, laboratory studies, and ECGs. Regarding consultations with doctors, residents most often require assistance from a cardiologist (over 6,600 consultations conducted), an endocrinologist (more than 5,700 consultations), and a neurologist (about 5,500 consultations).

"By the end of the first half of the year, medical professionals identified over 4,500 cases of new diseases, including 52 cases of suspected malignant neoplasms, 332 people were diagnosed with cardiovascular diseases, and 223 individuals with diabetes. All patients were given the necessary recommendations and treatment was prescribed," added the N.A. Semashko Regional Clinical Hospital.

It should be noted that the "Health Trains" project has been implemented at the initiative of the Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Gleb Nikitin, since 2018. The schedule for the mobile diagnostic complexes is published monthly on the website of the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Health Ministry zdrav-nnov.ru/grajdanam/profilaktik/health_trains/.
