What awaits guests at VK Fest in Nizhny Novgorod: a complete guide to the festival
On July 11, Nizhny Novgorod will host VK Fest (0+) for the first time — the largest urban open-air festival in Russia. Musicians, bloggers, athletes, actors, artists, and representatives of technological projects will gather at the venue. We will tell you what is prepared for the guests.
Art object on the Volga
Until July 11 inclusive, a multimedia installation of the festival can be seen opposite Strelka. A barge with the inscription "VK FEST LEGEND OF SUMMER," made of LED letters with animated backlighting, has been installed in the waters of the Volga. The total length of the structure is 65 meters. On the day of the festival, it will be complemented by a light show with spotlights.

The musical program will open with artists from various genres. Olga Buzova, Uma2rman, Klava Koka, Dora, "Room of Culture," "Sirotkin," NANSI & SIDOROV, SALUKI, nkeeei, unique, and ARTEM SHILOVETS will perform before the audience. During Uma2rman's performance, a special guest — ZOLOTO — will come on stage. He will perform several of his songs together with the band.

Another unusual exhibit is a four-meter inflatable Olympic bear brought by the Russian Olympic Committee.
What to do with the whole family
For parents with children, a separate space with games, performances, and master classes has been prepared. In the thematic zones of the films "The Last Bogatyr. Kolobok" (6+) and "Cheburashka 3" (6+), guests can relax, take photos, and participate in interactive entertainment. The multipark "TukiBama" will host a science show, a bubble show, master classes, and face painting. The puppet theater "Mabu" will present a performance with Bob the Cat and arrange a promenade with a giant puppet of Maxim Gorky, while Monkey Circle will showcase circus acts, hold dance battles, and teach guests how to juggle. In the zone of the film "How Ivan Got into the Fairy Tale" (6+), visitors will find a large Jenga, an art object in the shape of a stove, a giant coloring area, and a lounge space. All guests named Ivan will receive a book as a gift.
Creative master classes
Creative enthusiasts will have the opportunity to try their hand at various directions. The drawing school will conduct classes in watercolor and fan painting, magnets, and kites. In the music school, guests can play drums, while dance schools will hold master classes and battles in hip-hop, Latin, Afro, and contemporary dance. Guests can also look forward to theatrical performances, speech classes, readings, an introduction to the technique of grattage, and a plastic recycling workshop with a bike shredder.
Science and technology
Fans of modern technology will also have plenty to do. Planetarium No. 1 will offer the chance to observe celestial objects through a telescope. Guests will be able to get acquainted with the Russian electric car "Atom," test VR entertainment, try driving simulators, play projects from Nizhny Novgorod developers, and test themselves on the remote-controlled car track, gaming simulators, and in the PS5 zone.
Games, entertainment, and unusual activities
The festival will feature areas with board and wooden games, music quizzes, a wheel of fortune, and intellectual quizzes. Guests will also be able to see retro cars, visit a photo zone with Chinese national costumes, try writing hieroglyphs in a master class, and watch performances by artists on the Wheel of Sira.
Cosplay and K-pop
A separate area will be dedicated to cosplay. There will be solo and team parades judged by a professional jury. Additionally, a K-Pop Cover Dance competition will take place with the participation of over 20 teams, and the traditional Korean dance and music ensemble "Soraksan" will present a program with fans and a drumming show.
