Mobile communication has been improved in seven villages of the Bogorodsky district.

On July 7, 2026, at 10:48, Society Residents of seven settlements in the Bogorodsky district of the Nizhny Novgorod region gained access to high-speed mobile internet and modern voice communication. New MTS base stations have started operating in Arapovo, Ushakovo, Chentsovo, Laksha, Maloe and Bolshoe Bedrino, as well as in Vorontsovo—one of the popular points on the tourist route "Okskaya Trail." Now local residents can use government services, messengers, work and study online, as well as talk on the phone and access the internet simultaneously thanks to VoLTE technology. A stable signal has appeared not only in residential areas but also on access roads. In addition, communication has become available in schools, libraries, first-aid posts, and administrative buildings. This will allow for easy access to emergency services when needed. MTS director in the Nizhny Novgorod region, Andrey Belov, noted that the development of the network in small settlements remains one of the company's priorities. According to him, the emergence of modern communication opens up new opportunities for residents for work, education, business, and the use of digital services, as well as contributes to the development of domestic tourism. Each of the settlements has its own characteristics. For example, Vorontsovo is considered one of the most picturesque stops on the "Okskaya Trail," which connects Pavlovo and Nizhny Novgorod. This place is popular among hiking enthusiasts, short trips, fishing, and nature recreation. Near Ushakovo is the archaeological site "Ushakovo-1," which is estimated to be about four thousand years old. The villages of Maloe and Bolshoe Bedrino, located on the banks of the Kudya River, have long attracted fishing enthusiasts and paddleboarders. The development of communication infrastructure in the Bogorodsky district has become part of the work to expand coverage in the Nizhny Novgorod region. Previously, similar work was carried out in the Pavlovsky district, where the quality of mobile communication was improved in the village of Yasentsy and the village of Bolshoe Davydovo.
