Firefighters rescued 6 people during a nighttime fire in a five-story building in Vyksa.

      On July 7, 2026, at 10:42, incidents occurred. During the night, a fire broke out in an apartment of a five-story building in the working settlement of Doschatoye, part of the Vyksa urban district. This was reported by the regional emergency management agency.

      Fire and rescue personnel evacuated six people from the residential building, including two children. Special masks were used for the rescue. Another 15 residents were evacuated from the entrance.

      The fire was extinguished over an area of 20 square meters. As a result of the incident, the balconies of three apartments were damaged. Fortunately, there were no injuries. The emergency management agency noted that the report of the fire was delayed, which affected the severity of the consequences.

      According to preliminary reports, the cause of the fire was negligence while smoking.
