A ballet artist from Japan received a temporary residence permit in Nizhny Novgorod.

      On July 6, 2026, at 16:34, Society: A citizen of Japan, Dzeutaro Kanazashi, received a permit for temporary residence in the Russian Federation. This was reported by the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, Irina Volk.

      Dzeutaro Kanazashi was born in the city of Hamamatsu. He arrived in Russia in 2012 to study ballet. After three years, he graduated from the Moscow State Academy of Choreography, after which he performed in Krasnoyarsk. He then lived in his homeland for almost two years but decided to return to Russia. He worked in Samara and Saratov, and later moved to Nizhny Novgorod.

      For more than three years, the artist has been serving at the Nizhny Novgorod State Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet named after A.S. Pushkin. In October 2023, he married the ballerina of the same theater, Elizaveta. Last year, a son was born in the family. According to Irina Volk, the artist noted that he feels more comfortable in Russia than in Japan.

      The ceremony for granting the temporary residence permit took place at the Migration Department of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The document was issued in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation "On Providing Humanitarian Support to Individuals Sharing Traditional Russian Spiritual and Moral Values."

      Dzeutaro dreams of becoming a ballet teacher and raising his son. Upon receiving the document, he expressed his sincere gratitude to the police officers for their assistance, warm welcome, and support, emphasized Irina Volk.
