      In Nizhny Novgorod, police discovered illegally stored weapons and ammunition belonging to a 67-year-old associate professor at an institute. This was reported by the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod region. The search took place in an apartment on Berezovskaya Street. Operational staff from Police Department No. 4 and the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Nizhny Novgorod found an object resembling an automatic weapon, more than 580 cartridges of various calibers, three boxes and a jar labeled "Gunpowder," primers, as well as parts of firearms and shells. Additionally, more than 200 knives, three swords, a saber, a hatchet, an awl, and a brass knuckles were seized from the apartment. All findings have been sent for examination. A criminal case has been initiated under part 1 of article 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. It was revealed that the apartment owner already had a criminal record for a similar offense. The investigation is ongoing.
