A dialogue took place at the summer camp of Minin University "Cheerful Shore" with a lecturer from the Russian Society "Knowledge," veteran of the Special Military Operation, head of the "Patriotic Center Russian Victory" fund, Maxim Golubev. The veteran has been awarded the Suvorov Medal and other departmental awards. The meeting was part of a patriotic campaign by the Russian Society "Knowledge" and the State Fund "Defenders of the Fatherland," which is being implemented in accordance with the tasks of the national project "Youth and Children," initiated by the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin. The lecturer from the Society "Knowledge" emphasized that in conditions of complex confrontation, when attempts are made to rewrite history, it is especially important to tell the younger generation reliable facts so that historical memory is not distorted and is passed down from generation to generation. "History is not just a mentor, but a stern guardian that mercilessly demands accountability from those who neglect its lessons. However, today in the West, they prefer to turn a blind eye to the undeniable fact: our state has always given a decisive rebuff to any encroachments on its independence and attempts to forcibly impose alien ideals. It is important not just to carefully preserve the heritage of the past, but to write new lines into the common chronicle of the country," emphasized Maxim Golubev. He noted that the war today is not only fought directly on the battlefield. No less serious competition exists in the economy and, especially, in the information sphere. According to him, "this war for the consciousness of the people, the consciousness of the younger generation, is the most important." The campaign "I Serve the Fatherland" has been conducted by the Society "Knowledge" and the State Fund "Defenders of the Fatherland" since 2024. During this time, about 1,300 meetings have taken place. More than 300 veterans and participants of the Special Military Operation have served as lecturers for the initiative. This year, meetings with youth will take place as part of the summer health campaign. In an open dialogue format, veterans of the special operation will talk about themselves and their combat paths, discuss friendship and heroism, share stories of solidarity and mutual assistance, loyalty to military duty and the country, courage, and the feats of Russian soldiers in the Special Military Operation zone. They will also discuss opportunities for implementation in military and civilian professions, the role of combat experience, and the ability to take responsibility.

Let us remind you that starting in 2025, in Russia, by the order of President Vladimir Putin, the national project "Youth and Children" began to operate, which fulfills tasks previously outlined in the national projects "Education," "Science and Universities." The national project aims to create opportunities for the development of talents and self-realization of young people, fostering responsible and highly moral individuals. At the center of the national project are the construction and renovation of schools, upgrading the qualifications of teachers, creating new teaching methods, and comfortable learning conditions. Special attention is paid to supporting talented youth, including young specialists. The national project includes nine federal projects and programs: "Russia - a Land of Opportunities," "We Are Together," "Russia in the World," "All the Best for Children," "Leading Schools," "Teachers and Mentors," "Creating a Network of Modern Campuses," "Universities for the Generation of Leaders," "Professionalism."
