Yuri Stankevich supported young patients as part of the "Box of Courage" initiative.

      On July 1, 2026, at 16:00, Society Deputy of the State Duma Yuri Stankevich participated in the charity event "Box of Courage," organized at the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Children's Clinical Hospital with the support of the United Russia party. He visited the oncology and hematology departments, where children are undergoing treatment for severe illnesses: some are preparing for bone marrow transplants, others for procedures, or are undergoing complex postoperative rehabilitation. Such meetings with young patients and their parents have become a part of the parliamentarian's systematic sincere work.

      Medical professionals highly value the importance of social and psychological support for children undergoing long-term treatment in hospitals. Deputy Chief Physician for Pediatrics of the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Children's Hospital Olga Kuzmicheva noted that such events help reduce stress and create a positive emotional setting, which aids recovery.

      For parents who experience anxiety and worry for their children, the event is also very important. The mother of one of the patients, Margarita Labzina, expressed gratitude for the gifts and the moments of joy provided. Each gift is a reward for the little patient for their displayed courage, a feeling of warmth and care.

      The event has a truly popular unifying character: it involves volunteers, representatives of enterprises and public organizations, deputies, and concerned residents. Supporting families and children in difficult life situations fully aligns with the priorities of the People's Program of the party and reflects its main values: unity, compassion, and mutual assistance.

      "We will continue to support this initiative to reach as many kids as possible who need our attention and support," emphasized Yuri Stankevich.
