Nizhny Novgorod students won 17 awards at the "Russian Student Spring."

      On July 1, 2026, 16:11 Society The 34th All-Russian Festival "Russian Student Spring" among universities took place in Krasnoyarsk. Nizhny Novgorod students brought home 17 awards, including 2 grand prizes, which allowed the region to take 2nd place in the overall team standings and receive a special nomination for "Breakthrough of the Year."

      The Nizhny Novgorod region was represented by 68 students from 9 universities: Lobachevsky Nizhny Novgorod State University, National Research University Higher School of Economics - Nizhny Novgorod, K. Minin Nizhny Novgorod State Pedagogical University, PIMU, L.Ya. Florentiev Nizhny Novgorod State Agrarian University, M.I. Glinka Nizhny Novgorod State Conservatory, R.E. Alekseev Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University, Nizhny Novgorod State Architecture and Civil Engineering University, N.A. Dobrolubov Nizhny Novgorod Linguistic University. The students participated for the first time in all 10 festival directions: regional program, vocal, instrumental, dance, theater, original genre, "fashion," "media," "video," and "art."

      "For the first time in the entire history of participation in Student Spring, the Nizhny Novgorod region has gathered such a number of awards! For us, these are not just numbers; this is immense pride for our students! We will do everything to ensure that their opportunities for self-realization expand with each passing year," noted the Minister of Youth Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Svetlana Anufrieva.

      For the first time, Nizhny Novgorod students won the Grand Prix in the competitive direction "Regional Program." The performance "I Want to Always Be..." is a story about love as a force that changes a person, helps overcome fears, and become better. The participants demonstrated the journey from first crush and searching for one's soulmate to the conscious choice to love, despite doubts and difficulties. The main idea of the program is to remain in love: with a person, with life, with creativity, and with the possibility of becoming a better version of oneself every day.

      The second Grand Prix winner was Matvey Kortikov, a student of the Nizhny Novgorod State Conservatory named after M.I. Glinka (direction "Instrumental").

      In the "Media" direction (nomination "Photo Report," individual work), 3rd place was awarded to Natalia Stugireva, a student of N.A. Dobrolubov Nizhny Novgorod Linguistic University. 1st place in the "Instrumental" direction (nomination "Electronic Music. DJing," solo) was received by Hoang Ha Chung Zung from Lobachevsky Nizhny Novgorod State University.

      In the "Vocal" direction (nomination "Pop Singing. Domestic Song," solo), the 1st place winner was Julia Burova, a student of PIMU.

      Dmitry Trufanov, a student of the National Research University Higher School of Economics, received two awards: 2nd place in the "Fashion" direction (nominations "Conceptual Fashion" and "Fashion of Megacities," individual work) and 1st place in the "Art" direction (nomination "Customization," individual work). Also, in the "Art" direction (nomination "Graphic Design. Illustration," individual work), 1st place was taken by Sofia Lopatina from Lobachevsky Nizhny Novgorod State University.

      Two victories in the "Dance" direction were achieved by students from K. Minin Nizhny Novgorod State Pedagogical University. In the nomination "Folk Dance, Solo," 1st place was won by Bazhena Yelistratova, and 2nd place in the nomination "Pop Dance, Large Groups" went to the MG Crew.

      Students received three awards in the "Video" direction. In the nomination "Documentary Clip, Groups," Vladislav Kuzin from K. Minin Nizhny Novgorod State Pedagogical University and Vladimir Solovyov from Lobachevsky Nizhny Novgorod State University became 1st place winners. In the nomination "Commercial Clip, Groups," 2nd place was taken by Valery Kozlov from Lobachevsky Nizhny Novgorod State University and Semyon Arnautov from the National Research University Higher School of Economics - Nizhny Novgorod. In the nomination "Short Film, Groups," 2nd place was awarded to Zarina Shagabutdinova from Lobachevsky Nizhny Novgorod State University and Maria Yelsova from the National Research University Higher School of Economics - Nizhny Novgorod.

      In the "Theater" direction, Nizhny Novgorod also won three awards. 1st place in the nomination "Frontline Poetry and Prose, Solo" went to Igor Nikitin, a student of Nizhny Novgorod State Architecture and Civil Engineering University. 1st place in the nomination "Theater of Small Forms. Experiment, Small Groups" was awarded to the "MYULYA" collective from Lobachevsky Nizhny Novgorod State University. And in the nomination "Stage Miniature, Large Groups," 1st place was also awarded to the collective of students from Lobachevsky Nizhny Novgorod State University, K. Minin Nizhny Novgorod State Pedagogical University, and L.Ya. Florentiev Nizhny Novgorod State Agrarian University.

      In addition to prize-winning places, students received special prizes: in the "Media" direction, students from K. Minin Nizhny Novgorod State Pedagogical University Tatiana Bagrova, Ilya Likhano, and Angelina Smirnova, a student from N.A. Dobrolubov Nizhny Novgorod Linguistic University, received gifts from VK, while the collective "Woman Weeps" from Lobachevsky Nizhny Novgorod State University received a special prize for sensitivity in the "Dance" direction.
