Nizhny Novgorod residents can propose areas for improvement.

On July 1, 2026, at 10:59 AM, Society In the Nizhny Novgorod region, the application campaign for the "It's Your Decision!" project has begun, which allows residents to directly influence the development of their territories. As noted by Governor Gleb Nikitin on his MAX channel, the project was conceived as a tool for engaging Nizhny Novgorod residents in the transformation of the region. According to him, the key decision remains with the residents: they are the ones who propose initiatives and determine which facilities require priority attention. In 2026, it is planned to implement 363 initiatives. Over 14 years of the project's operation in the region, about 5,500 proposals from Nizhny Novgorod residents have already been realized. The head of the region emphasized that when choosing areas for improvement, the authorities proceed from a simple principle - local residents know best what their settlements need. This may involve creating children's and sports playgrounds, developing infrastructure, or repairing roads. Applications can be submitted until September 1, 2026, on the GOLOSZA.RU portal. Residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region over 18 years old, representatives of territorial public self-government, and village elders can participate. "Don't stay aside, propose your initiatives! It's up to you to decide what Nizhny Novgorod region will be like tomorrow!" wrote the head of the region. It was previously reported that in Nizhny Novgorod, 17 facilities were improved in 2026 as part of the "It's Your Decision!" project. NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has channels on Telegram and MAX.
