      On July 1, 2026, at 09:55, Society Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Gleb Nikitin addressed veterans of combat operations on the commemorative date of July 1. He expressed gratitude to all those who defended the interests of the Motherland with weapons in hand, emphasizing that for these people, the concepts of duty, honor, and love for the Fatherland remain unchanged.

      The head of the region noted that many veterans had to fulfill their military duty far from home, in hot spots. Some served in Afghanistan, while others participated in combat operations in the North Caucasus.

      He expressed special thanks to the soldiers of the special military operation, who today protect the future of Russia, its sovereignty, and the right of citizens to live in peace. According to him, they saved thousands of lives and proved that Russia does not abandon its own.

      Gleb Nikitin also emphasized that systematic work is being carried out in the Nizhny Novgorod region on social adaptation and support for veterans.

      The fighters become mentors for the youth, participate in patriotic education. Many find themselves in politics and local self-government, try their hand at teaching and management activities, and discover new sports.

      “Thank you for your courage and for being a true example of dedication to your cause! Stay healthy, may you always have loyal comrades and a loving family by your side!” concluded Gleb Nikitin.
