More than 13 thousand parents received a new payment in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      On June 30, 2026, 10:29 Society More than 13,000 parents in the Nizhny Novgorod region received a new annual family payment starting from June 1. The total amount of funds transferred exceeded 310.7 million rubles, reported the press service of the regional branch of the Social Fund of Russia. The annual family payment is a new support measure for families raising two or more children under 18 years old, as well as up to 23 years old for full-time education. It can be applied for by working parents, adoptive parents, guardians, or custodians if they paid personal income tax (PIT) on their income in the previous year. One of the main conditions is official employment and payment of PIT. The average per capita income of the family must not exceed 1.5 times the regional subsistence minimum for the year for which the tax was paid. In the Nizhny Novgorod region, this figure was 16,669 rubles last year. It is also necessary to have Russian citizenship and to reside permanently in the country. When assigning the payment, a comprehensive assessment of the family's income and property status is conducted, similar to the procedure for assigning a unified benefit. The amount of the payment is calculated individually and depends on official earnings and the amount of taxes paid. In the Nizhny Novgorod region, families can receive an additional amount ranging from 56,000 to 189,000 rubles. Applications can be submitted until October 1, 2026, through the State Services portal, at the client service of the regional branch of the Social Fund of Russia, or at the Multifunctional Center (MFC). A special procedure applies to law enforcement officers and military personnel. Within ten working days after submitting the application, they must provide a certificate from the place of service in the form KND 1175018 with information about income, tax amounts, and tax deductions for PIT. If there is a child under 23 years old studying full-time in the family, a certificate from the educational organization indicating the amount of the scholarship will be required. At the same time, the Social Fund independently requests most of the documents necessary for assigning the payment.
