The size of compensation payments for Nizhny Novgorod teachers has been adjusted.
The changes will come into effect on September 1, 2026. The government of the Nizhny Novgorod region has made amendments to the Regulations on the remuneration of employees of state educational organizations. The corresponding document has been published on the official legal information portal. According to the amendments, the monthly salary of teachers who have worked the required hours must not be lower than the minimum wage (MW). However, when bringing salaries up to the established MW, payments for overtime work, night work, weekends and holidays, payments for combining positions, as well as for additional types of work related to educational activities will not be taken into account. The list of compensatory payments has also undergone numerous adjustments. In particular, for work in preschool and educational institutions implementing adapted programs for children with disabilities, the payment will be 15-20% of the official salary. For work in groups for orphans and children left without parental care, a twenty percent payment is provided. For work in regional educational centers for advanced development for teachers and other employees ensuring educational activities, a payment of 40% is provided. It was previously reported that the advanced experience of the Ministry of Education of the Nizhny Novgorod region was presented at the federal level.
