Siberian roe deer spotted in the Nizhny Novgorod region: video

      June 28, 2026 16:12 Society Two Siberian roe deer were spotted by an inspector during a routine patrol of hunting grounds in the Vorotynsky district. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Forestry and Wildlife Protection of the Nizhny Novgorod region. According to specialists, the Siberian roe deer is an elegant representative of the deer family, found in several regions of the country. The animals were in an open area and behaved calmly — grazing peacefully and showing no signs of distress. In total, there are two species of roe deer inhabiting the Nizhny Novgorod region: the European and the Siberian. According to census data, the population of the first species is 1,873 individuals, while the second species has 2,769 individuals.
