Chernyshenko and Nikitin discussed projects in the field of IT education, tourism, and sports.

      On June 29, 2026, at 12:40, Politics Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Chernyshenko held a working meeting with the Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Gleb Nikitin. The parties discussed the development of regional projects in the fields of tourism, education, and innovative sports.

      The head of the region presented the Vice Premier with the concept of the festival "Masters of the Golden Ring" in Gorodets, talked about new educational directions of the IT campus "Neimark," as well as the development of technological sports in the region.

      "Today, all conditions have been created in the Nizhny Novgorod Region to be a real 'magnet' for ambitious young people. We see how the region is taking on the role of a driver of educational innovations. Thanks to the tools of the national project 'Youth and Children,' a modern ecosystem is being formed here to support talents and achieve the country's technological leadership," noted Chernyshenko.

      At the IT campus, which is being created within the framework of the national project "Youth and Children," four new training areas have emerged: telecommunications system design, AI robotics, bioengineering, and legal support for the use of artificial intelligence. Currently, nine network educational programs are available to applicants.

      As Gleb Nikitin reported, there is a support program for talented students called "Grant 360." Participants can receive up to one million rubles in the first year of study. The program includes compensation for living in campus co-living spaces, a monthly scholarship of up to 60,000 rubles, and a one-time payment.

      The meeting also discussed the holding of the festival "Masters of the Golden Ring" in Gorodets. The event will bring together masters, designers, and representatives of folk arts and crafts. The main theme will be the inclusion of the city in the tourist route "Golden Ring."

      The festival will take place with the support of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality" and will be combined with the celebration of the City Day, which is scheduled for July 18-19. Guests can expect exhibitions of masterworks, master classes, performances by creative groups, and gastronomic venues.

      According to Gleb Nikitin, the event will be particularly significant due to the 90th anniversary of the "Gorodets Painting" factory. The festival aims to combine the traditions of folk art with modern hospitality standards to make Gorodets one of the key attractions of the "Golden Ring."

      Another topic of the meeting was the development of innovative and technological sports. In 2025, the Nizhny Novgorod Region became a pilot region in this area. Currently, there are eight digital centers operating in municipalities across the region.

      In 2026, the region hosted the "TechnoSport" festival, which gathered about 600 athletes from different regions of Russia. Dmitry Chernyshenko noted that the development of such formats helps attract people of different generations to sports and popularize a healthy lifestyle.
