Three barrack-type houses caught fire in the Lenin district of Nizhny Novgorod.

      On June 27, 2026, at 10:00, Incidents: Three houses caught fire early in the morning in the Leninsky district of Nizhny Novgorod. This was reported by the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia. The report of the fire in a house on Hero of Samochkin Street came in around 06:00. The fire engulfed two partially residential and one non-residential barrack-type house. By the time the fire departments arrived, open flames were observed in two buildings, while residents were able to evacuate on their own.

      According to Alexey Monakhov, deputy head of the 8th fire and rescue unit, at the time of the firefighters' arrival, there was open burning in two houses. "People evacuated on their own. Currently, localization and extinguishing of the open flames are underway," he noted. The total area of the fire was 775 square meters. There are no casualties or injuries. Specialists are now continuing to cool the structures until the consequences are fully eliminated. Investigators from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia are working on-site to determine the causes of the incident.
