The historic mansion built in 1847 was sold for 29.1 million rubles with an initial price of 10.6 million rubles, according to the lot card. The building is located within walking distance of the Kremlin and the Upper Volga Embankment. Its area is 371.9 square meters, and the land plot area is 794 square meters. The house is designed in eclectic traditions with elements of classicism. The ANO "ASIRIS" reported that three bidders participated in the auction. The new owner is the design organization LLC "Veles NN," which has experience in restoring cultural heritage sites in various cities of Russia. The company's director, Sergey Yakishin, told the agency that specialists had been researching the building back in 2021, and by the time the house appeared at auction, the company was familiar with all its features. "The house is truly unique: it is a sample of a once very common type of buildings in the Volga region - 'half-houses,' with a first stone floor, a second wooden one, and a third - an attic, also wooden," he noted. According to Yakishin, the mansion is currently in unsatisfactory condition. The company has a lot of work ahead for its restoration: it will be necessary to recreate some elements and the log structure, carry out masonry restoration, bring in engineering communications, completely replace the roof, and build two extensions, one of which will have a usable roof where a veranda is planned. The investor must complete the restoration work within three years. For the company, this is the first experience of acquiring a building with the status of a cultural heritage site for subsequent restoration and management. The mansion is preliminarily planned to be adapted for apartments, while offices will be located on the basement floor.
