This was stated in an interview with NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" by the head of Nizhny Novgorod Statistics, Dmitry Maslo. According to him, in the coming years, interaction with citizens will increasingly shift to an electronic format. The future census is planned to use existing information about the population from government systems. Citizens will only need to verify the accuracy of the information and supplement it if necessary. This approach, noted Dmitry Maslo, will reduce the time spent on conducting the census and decrease the likelihood of errors in data processing. Changes will also affect socio-demographic surveys. They are also planned to be maximally transitioned to an online format. This will speed up information processing and allow interviewers to focus on data quality control rather than data collection.
