A Nizhny Novgorod resident was convicted of fraud in the construction of a house for a veteran of the Special Military Operation.

      On June 25, 2026, at 16:35, incidents occurred in the Prioksky District Court of Nizhny Novgorod, which issued a verdict in a case of fraud related to the construction of a modular house for a combat veteran. This was reported by the press service of the regional court.

      It was established that in August 2024, a man entered into a contract on behalf of LLC "Modulix" with a participant in the Special Military Operation (SMO) and his wife for the construction of a modular house. However, he did not intend to fulfill the obligations.

      The defendant received more than 550,000 rubles from the clients into his personal account, but did not transfer the money to the company.

      In court, the defendant did not admit guilt, but fully compensated for the damage caused.

      The court found him guilty of large-scale fraud and imposed a fine of 350,000 rubles. Considering the requirements of the law, the amount was reduced to 330,000 rubles.

      The verdict has not yet entered into legal force.
