Vandals toppled and smashed tombstones in a cemetery in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      On June 23, 2026, at 09:48, Incidents: An act of vandalism was recorded at the local cemetery in the village of Doschatoye near Vyksa. Unknown individuals knocked down and broke tombstones. A resident of the Nizhny Novgorod region reported the incident in the VK community "Typical Vyksa." According to her, there were many damages. She noted that clear shoe prints were left on several tombstones.

      "Today we were at the cemetery in Doschatoye and saw many broken and toppled tombstones. This is the work of vandals, not nature. The graves are not sunken or tilted," the Nizhny Novgorod resident reported.
