The death of an electrician in the Nizhny Novgorod region has resulted in a criminal case.

      June 23, 2026 14:28 Incidents A criminal case for causing death by negligence has been initiated following the death of an electrician in the Knyagininsky district. This was reported by the press service of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod region. The tragedy occurred on the morning of June 16 near the village of Speshnevo. According to the State Labor Inspectorate, the crew was performing work on the power line. A 40-year-old man in a bucket of a truck-mounted lift brushed against a wire with his shoulder and was electrocuted. The worker was hospitalized in a medical facility, where he later died. An investigation is underway, and law enforcement is determining the causes and circumstances of the incident.
