Mingrad approved the design of the first house within the framework of the KRT on the Rowing Canal.

      On June 22, 2026, at 18:30, the Society of Mинград in the Nizhny Novgorod region approved the architectural and urban planning appearance of the first multi-apartment building, which is planned to be constructed under a comprehensive development agreement for the undeveloped territory on the embankment of the Rowing Canal. The project is being implemented by LLC "Specialized Developer 'Level Volga.'"

      This concerns a residential complex with variable heights from 7 to 11 floors, consisting of several buildings. The first floors will include built-in public purpose premises. All sections will be connected by an underground built-in parking lot for residents' cars.

      By placing the parking underground, the complex aims to implement the concept of a "car-free courtyard." The internal space will be allocated for pedestrian alleys, green areas, as well as recreation and play areas.

      The architectural solutions have been developed taking into account the characteristics of the surrounding environment. In designing the facades, the authors reinterpreted elements of the historical architecture of Nizhny Novgorod, adapting classical motifs to modern construction technologies. The materials used, the plasticity of the facades, and the color solutions are aimed at forming an expressive appearance and a harmonious combination of the development with the natural landscape of the embankment.

      "The embankment of the Rowing Canal is one of the key elements of the coastal appearance of Nizhny Novgorod. The architectural and planning solution for this area significantly affects the visual perception of the city from the water side, which necessitates a balanced approach to architectural solutions. The project was developed considering both modern needs and the characteristics of the landscape and historical context of the area," noted the Minister of Urban Development and Agglomeration Development, Daria Shunaeva.

      Recall that in July 2025, LLC "Level Up," part of the Moscow development group Level Group, signed an agreement on comprehensive development in the area of the Rowing Canal embankment. They intend to build about 47 thousand square meters of housing, create a modern landscaped embankment with access to the city center, as well as public spaces, social and sports infrastructure, a hotel, a school, and a kindergarten.

      The project is expected to be fully completed by 2040, while educational institutions are planned to be put into operation by 2030. Earlier, Mинград also approved the appearance of the first residential building within the framework of comprehensive development, which is being implemented by the developer GloraX.
