Nizhny Novgorod's "Meteor" and "Valdai" are decorated with Khokhloma and tourist brands.
June 22, 2026 15:48 Culture and Leisure Seven high-speed hydrofoil vessels from the "Vodoley" company, which operate on routes in the Nizhny Novgorod region and beyond, have received a new design. They have been branded in support of the region's tourism projects, folk crafts, and important dates in 2026. Two "Meteor 120R" and five "Valday 45R" vessels have been updated. The "Meteor 120R" "Captain Poluektov" has been styled in the theme of the urban campaign "Everything is real with us." The five "Valday 45R" vessels have chosen a more traditional, yet equally expressive look. They have been designed in the signature style of Khokhloma, complemented by the tourist slogan "100% Real Russia."
Recall that in 2025, Rospatent registered the trademarks "100% Real Russia" and "Capital of Sunsets" for the ANO "Center 800." Khokhloma is one of the most famous Russian folk crafts with a history of over three centuries. In 2026, it will be 110 years since the founding of the School of Artistic Wood Processing in Semyonovo, which later became the basis for the "Khokhloma Painting" factory. A separate design has been created for the "Meteor 120R" "Constructor Alexeev." It is dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the birth of engineer Rostislav Alexeev, the creator of hydrofoil vessels.
Thanks to his developments, "Raketa," "Meteor," and "Kometa" have become symbols of domestic shipbuilding and have elevated high-speed river transport to a new level.
