Morozov instructed to bring to the urban planning headquarters the issues initiated by the Nizhny Novgorod business community.
On June 20, 2026, at 14:28, Economy In the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, a meeting took place on June 18, 2026, between the Deputy Governor of the region, Sergey Morozov, and business representatives. The business community highlighted their concerns to the deputy head of the region, including the use of secondary resources in the production of asphalt mixtures, connecting new projects to technological networks, interaction with resource supply companies, increasing the cost of land lease, the use of drones in industry, and expanding urban routes to new neighborhoods. Additionally, entrepreneurs were interested in the progress of road repairs on Sergievskaya Street in Nizhny Novgorod and the possibility of major repairs of apartment buildings in Balakhna, which are cultural heritage sites. The meeting also discussed the prospects for developing the production of natural refrigerants in the region as one of the ways to reduce the import dependence of the domestic refrigeration industry. The Deputy Governor instructed Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Olga Belyanina to explore the possibility of placing refrigerant production in the new ecotechnopark in Dzerzhinsk. Entrepreneurs also expressed interest in a new program for preferential technological connection up to 150 kW, as the savings from this could be redirected to production development. Following the meeting, Sergey Morozov instructed the State Budgetary Institution "Institute for the Development of the Nizhny Novgorod Agglomeration" to work with the Joint Utility Operator on the issue of connecting the hotel on Novaya and Korolenko Streets to the networks. The design project for a non-stationary trading facility in Minin Square will be reviewed by the Architectural Council. At the regional headquarters, the Deputy Governor instructed to raise the issue of terminating the development contract for the built-up area, to work out the concept for further development of the area at the initiative of the rights holder in the Novinki settlement, and the issue of developing a tourism and sports cluster in the Kstovo district of Nizhny Novgorod. "In this challenging period of strict monetary policy, it is very important to remain in dialogue and find points of contact, especially for businesses that do not stop and continue to develop. At the initiative of our business community, we sent several questions to the regional headquarters regarding large-scale projects: housing construction and zoning, tourism development. These projects require detailed elaboration and interdepartmental interaction with resource supply organizations, as well as the removal of infrastructure constraints. The regional headquarters is currently the largest interdepartmental body in terms of urban development, a headquarters to assist all investors and applicants," said Sergey Morozov. At the meeting with entrepreneurs, the Deputy Chairmen of the regional government, Pavel Savateev and Anatoly Molev, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Olga Belyanina, Minister of Forestry and Wildlife Protection of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Roman Vorobyov, Minister of Construction Dmitry Grunichev, Minister of Energy and Housing and Communal Services Mikhail Kurenkov, Minister of Transport and Highways Leonid Samukhin, Minister of Urban Development and Agglomeration Development Darya Shunaeva, and Acting Head of the Department for the Protection of Cultural Heritage Sites in the region Natalia Tambovtseva were also present for prompt resolution of issues. There is also an operational headquarters for socio-economic development of the Nizhny Novgorod Region chaired by Governor Gleb Nikitin to address problematic business issues, as well as a strategy development and investment council (investment committee).
